A Walk in the Meadow
Spring walks inspired my book, My Flower Journey; A Blooming and Blossoming Colouring book in 2018. Next year it will be 5 years since publishing. I'm thinking of what to do to commemorate the moment. It will probably involve cake!
When I drew the illustrations for it, I had my hands on many creative projects at the time. I was also studying fashion (which sounds odd in my mind because I always have, but these were specific courses) and I needed to express myself somehow. The most motivation came from Spring walks through my neighbourhood and a nearby meadow full of lush grass, flowers like Queen Anne's Lace and little yellow crocus like ones. Not sure of the name. Cherry blossoms and Lilacs as well as Magnolia really had my heart jumping. And then I would go home and think about what I should do with everything I just saw and felt. How to process? Drawings sprung from that.
I do wonder what it would be like to create another book, maybe in the not too distant future.
